Entourage Needed

After much meditation and quiet contemplation I have discovered the source of the eternal bleakness of my soul.

I lack an entourage.

In a city as hip and happening as St. Louis, the lack of an entourage is comparable to the lack of one or more appendages in the jungle. Without an entourage, one will quickly be eaten alive in the wild (i.e Club Buca) and unable to spread his genes through mating.

I have not mated for many moons.

Therefore, I seek an entourage. More specifically, I seek persons to fill the following roles:

Hype Man
The Hype Man is responsible for hyping me. For example, when I enter a room, my Hype Man's job will be to state, loudly, that "Kyle S is inside the house, you all".

My Hype Man is also responsible for giving me mad props for anything I do that is remotely admirable.

In addition, whenever I verbally punk a gentleman, my Hype Man must place his left hand over his mouth and make a gang signal with his right hand. While performing these actions, my Hype Man must make a noise that sounds like "ohhhh, damn son".

Furthermore, whenever I defeat a foe at hand-to-hand combat, my Hype Man must inform my fallen victim that he has, in fact, been whupped yo.

Lastly, if Lou Dobbs attacks my position on NAFTA, my Hype Man must clearly and succinctly state my current views on the issue.

Muscle
The Muscle is responsible for dispatching punks and foes that I randomly encounter. The Muscle has several requirements: they must wear sunglasses at all times, they must be able to deadlift over 700 lbs, and they must have criminal records. Most importantly, they must at all times sport stoic expressions while folding their arms across their chests.

The Muscle is required to create situations such as the one pictured at a minimum of 3 times per night.

If I am verbally assaulted by a player-hater, the Muscle is responsible for breaking the offender's fibula into many pieces. Depending on the severity of the insult, the Muscle may also be required to assault the said offender's metatarsals.

Cut Man
My Cut Man is responsible for the prevention and treatment of any cuts that I may sustain.

The Cut Man must be over 60 years. He must have a trashy tattoo on his forearm. He is also required to smell like onions and wear sleazy silk shirts.

That's about it, as far as that goes.

Sound Man
My Sound Man is responsible for providing the proper beats (i.e. phat beats) for specific occasions. If, for example, I am engaged in a rap battle with a young upstart, my Sound Man must spin the correct beats. If I am embroiled in coitus with a mad fly honey, my Sound Man must provide the proper beats to complement the rhythm of my monkey-thrusting.

Should I frequent an establishment that already provides the necessary phat beats, my Sound Man must wait outside.

The Pepper Lounge

Friday night I was fortunate enough to find myself at the semi-exclusive, ultra-trendy Pepper Lounge on Locust at 20th.

I am now a devoted Pepper Lounge patron.

The beats are phat, the style is exquisite, and the clientele is incredibly charming. On a Friday night what I'm looking for is a place where I can wet my whistle with over-priced drinks, listen to the latest from Chris Brown, be scoffed at by pretentious men and women, and watch the staff work in their underwear. The Pepper Lounge effectively covers all of those bases.

The DJ was cutting some sick mash-ups, and the crowd was into it! I wasn't complaining either, since after all, one of my primary goals for any Friday night is to watch leggy blondes shakin' it to the latest cuts from the biggest hit-makers in hip hop.

I saw two people I knew and what do you think I did? Avoided them of course. I wasn't there to hang out with people I'm friends with; I wanted to meet some fresh faces! I was mingling with St. Louis' finest. A cross section of the best and brightest beautiful people on St. Louis' A-list.

Celebrity sightings? Yup. Cast members from the hit faux-reality show Reno 911 were participating in the festivities. That's star power. I saw that huge black guy drinking a rum and coke and that's when I knew that I had finally made it.

So if you're interested in going to a place where you can hob-knob with the who's who of St. Louis, see the latest fashions, and finally BE someone, I recommend The Pepper Lounge on Locust at 20th.

Black Eye

I fell UP the stairs last night, bruising my eye and my ego. To answer everyone's questions, it was not a fight and there was alcohol involved.

party flyer

You may not know this, but there is an Enterprise Rent-A-Car office right across the hall from me at work. This is the exact copy of the flyer that was in a vehicle that someone turned in today. I'm so mad that I found this and it wasn't given to me.

blog blog blog

Welcome to the blog. I guess this is my first post. Which means that approximately four (4) people will read it.

Here are some random thoughts that I feel should be posted on the internet:

1. Birthday cakes are the best when they are actually a plate of chicken burgers
2. Whoever has my Beulah record needs to give it back immediately
3. I wish that Mark Sandman wasn't dead. He is probably the only man that comes to mind that I would want to sing a song to me.
4. When a woman says "I had fun [last night, etc]" it really means "I want to go out with you in the future and I am thinking about what first base is like with you." I suspect that there is more coded language in women's speaking. I will keep the internet up to date as I make discoveries.
5. You can boil down the general population into people who know and use "walkin' drinks" and people who don't.
6. 85% of St. Louis Mardi Gras patrons are Sammy Hagar fans. (St. Louisons: Be careful who you make this snide observation to.)
7. Mississippi Queen by Mountain is the best one-hit-wonder ever.
8. I've watched all of the movies in the Terminator franchise. SkyNet, the system that takes over the technology that fights the human race, is the fictional name for real-life MySpace.com. of course!
9. I think Snoop Dogg is a good role model. Seriously.

Welcome

Topics covered in this blog will include:

chicken burgers
beer
phat beats
dicing
a brief biography of Bob McGee
various strategies in creeping out women
a two-thousand word essay on the morality of Ian Evans' body hair

etc.

also, if creative inspiration fails, we will simply post pictures of midgets and/or lesbians.

Ultimately it all boils down to one thing: if, after reading this blog, you have any shred of civility or respect left for us, we're not doing our job.
